-
Target Audience: Adult Learners
-
Technology Used: Mindmeister Mind Mapping Software, PowerPoint, and Screencast-O-Matic

Year: 2020
Objective
The task for this project was to create a screencast that addressed:
How learning occurs based on cognitivist learning theory.
The instructional implications of the cognitivist learning theory.
How new media and technologies can be used to encourage and support the type of learning described in the cognitivist learning theory.
Design Process
To create the end product, a PowerPoint and script served as the design mechanism. The script provided the narration and instruction for the video production while the PowerPoint provided the visual elements for the presentation. The mind mapping tool integration added a layer of organization for learners to authentically experience how schema and cognitive information processing occurs.
